The majority of solar panels would probably not be damaged. However an emp would likely damage the connecting wires through which the current flows.

Financially the united states estimates that a solar derived emp will cost up to two trillion dollars in damage. Emps can irreversibly damage anything with a circuit in it including your solar power system inverters and charge controllers. But if damage occurs it is likely due to the wires between the solar panel and most often the solar charge controller. The bad news is they re usually connected to wires with current flowing through them which makes them susceptible to damage.

Photovoltaic pv solar panels battery banks and all other components of an off grid solar power system would not be affected by an emp directly as they have no circuitry within. The good news is that almost all other components of your off grid solar setup would be unaffected by the emp.
